The complete redesign of Maine's favorite coffee brand.


The evolution of the Coffee By Design branding is both practical and conceptual. The brand marks were modernized and expanded to be flexible for use throughout all media.

The negative space, three-cup CBD logo is an evolution of the original singular cup logo. The unique perspective of three cups is symbolic of the experience and growth of a beloved Maine coffee brand and more importantly, a celebration of the neighborhood coffeehouse and larger community.

Toderico worked with Coffee By Design to create a whole new packaging system. This included a the complete line of coffee packages, labels designs, and new in-house label printers.

The dynamic brand design package made it easy to create a wide range of merchandise. Coffee and merchandise sales continue to grow annually since the new brand launch.

With the Coffee By Design ads we bring some humanity to the marketing. The image-driven ads for digital and print feature everyone from farmers and CBD owners to baristas and community leaders.

The 3.0 Coffee By Design brand website was a major upgrade – carrying the new brand look and tone through the site and taking the online store to the next level. Built on the Magento platform, the new store is a comprehensive collection of CBD coffees that is integrated across all brand pages organically and via ads.
